Beginning 1/5th Scale F5 Autonomous Race Car Platform Development
We have begun a new development cycle for our ARC platform using the F5 RC car made by ROVAN RC. The motivation behind this new project is due to the constantly increasing hardware and weight requirements on our smaller Tamiya TA-07 1/10th Scale ARC Platform.
The New F5 platform will feature Nvidia’s Jetson Orin AGX Developer Kit for better camera vision and data processing performance. For localization we will be using Velodyne’s VLP-32 (acquired by Ouster).
Our custom sensor integration will continue to prioritize low latency integration of hardware with local onboard computation.
