On-Road 1/10th Scale Tamiya-TA07 Autonomous Race Car (ARC) Platform
The Tamiyaยฎ TA-07โข REV 1.0 was the beginning of our development with the at the time newly released Nvidiaยฎ Jetsonโข product line up. Our integrated solution prioritizes low latency data communication protocols optimized for on-road performance to decrease lap times.
Rev 2.0 was designed to prioritize driver data training and sensor data speed. Faster loop rates for control algorithms allow for smoother actuation and driving. Rather than open loop mapped PWM signals our PWM control is handled by the onboard computer with closed loop control and directly off of reading the car’s servo angle and motor’s rotational velocity. A new safety feature of a remote kill switch has been added to disable the car with a remote control.
The new TA07 cooling system has passages to have optimal air flow over the Nvidiaยฎ Xavierโข Processor (compatible with the Nvidiaยฎ Orin NX, Xavier NX, & Jetson platforms).
